This performance-based course is designed for drum kit players who want to learn new styles and build confidence playing amongst others. It offers a fun and educational experience that will help students develop their drumming skills, confidence, and stage presence.
From Monday to Thursday, students will explore a different musical genre and song each day. The final part of each day will focus on performance, giving students the opportunity to perform among others and prepare for the end-of-week showcase.
Acoustic and electronic drum kits are available throughout the week, although students may benefit from the comfort and familiarity of their own drums and are welcome to use their own.
Personal kits can remain securely stored in the teaching room until 4pm on Thursday. Friday will be dedicated to the final rehearsal and performance in the main hall.
Students do not need to study grades or read music, and participation in performances is always optional. Our priority is that every student feels comfortable,
supported, and enjoys the experience. A few years of playing the drums is recommended to get the most from the course.
Whether you want to learn your favourite song, brush up on some skills or complete grades or diplomas - all lessons are tailored to the pupil's individual needs and interests.
The equipment we have on offer also enables students to learn with backing tracks, play-along with live instruments and record their own playing to take home
A 30 minute Free Trial Lesson will be offered to all new students.
